What size of logo on a t-shirt: chest, front, back?

The sizes that work: a chest logo between 7 and 10 cm wide, a front design between 20 and 28 cm, a back between 25 and 35 cm, a cap print of 8 to 10 cm. These are the proportions seen on branded clothing, and they stay legible on an S as well as a 3XL.

The chest: discreet but legible

The chest logo sits on the left of the chest, at breast height, about 7 cm below the shoulder seam and 10 cm from the centre. At 8 cm wide, it can be read from two metres. Below 6 cm, fine text disappears; above 11 cm, it spills towards the centre and looks misplaced. For a very elongated logo (banner), allow 9 to 10 cm wide and 3 cm high.

The front: not too high, not too wide

A front design 25 cm wide on an adult t-shirt is the “streetwear” standard. On an S or a children's model, reduce to 20 cm; on an XXL, 28 cm still looks balanced. The top of the design sits 5 to 8 cm below the collar. Our front area accepts up to 29,7 × 42 cm (A3), which leaves room for a vertical design.

The back: the most visible, the largest

A back design 30 cm wide, placed 8 cm below the collar, can be read from a distance, on a track or in a hall. For a club name and number, allow 25 cm wide for the name and 20 cm high for the number. Beyond 35 cm, the design reaches the side seams and gets in the way when worn.

Cap, hoodie, zip hoodie

On a trucker cap, the front takes 8 to 10 cm wide and 5 to 6 cm high. On a hoodie, the kangaroo pocket limits the front: stay within 25 cm wide at most and place the design above the pocket. On a zip hoodie, no centred front: chest logo on one side, possibly a back.

What the designer does

Each product shows the printable area in real millimetres. You place your artwork, you see its size in centimetres and the result on the garment, in the chosen colour. A file too small for the requested size triggers a resolution warning before adding to the basket.
